Student Planners:
Students have a planner where they will be responsible for writing down their assignments for each class. As an incentive to keep you updated on their homework, students will receive a small "bonus" at the end of the week for having their parent/guardian initial it each day. Missing homework, hall passes, and additional information will also be logged in their planner.
Late/Incomplete Homework Assignments:
It is important that student begin developing positive homework and study habits in fifth grade. Not only does completing homework help build skill fluency, but it also helps teach responsibility. As stated above, late/incomplete homework assignments will be logged in the student planner. If the homework section is filled up by the end of the week, they will be unable to attend our weekly incentive ticket. This will also result in a deduction in their "Badger Bank Account" ($25 fine per missing assignment). Missing work is expected to be completed for the following day, in addition to that day's work. If a student struggles to complete homework regularly, you will be contacted by that teacher.
